High-speed Calendering and Slitting Machine

SS-SMARTECH Calendering and Slitting Machine is used in the manufacture of Li-ion battery electrodes. The coated cathode/anode electrode is rolled and evenly pressed to the required thickness by the continuous hydraulic roller device, and then slit into a number of battery electrodes of the required width and wound up neatly. After the battery electrode is coated and dried, the peeling strength between the active substance and the collector foil is very low, so it needs to be rolled to enhance the bonding strength between the active substance and the foil to prevent from peeling off in the process of electrolyte soaking and battery use. At the same time, the roll pressing of the battery electrodes can compress the cell volume, improve the energy density, reduce the porosity between the active substance, conductive agent, and binder inside the electrodes, reduce the resistance of the battery, and improve the battery performance.
